AFTER YOUR SOUND BATH

Okay… so now what?

You just spent the last however-many-minutes lying down, listening to a bunch of bowls, probably thinking about random things, maybe falling asleep, maybe having an emotional moment, maybe seeing colors, maybe wondering if everyone else was experiencing something way cooler than you were.

All of it counts!

There really isn't a right way to experience a sound bath.

Some people leave feeling incredibly relaxed. Some feel energized. Some get emotional. Some sleep like a baby that night. And sometimes you just think, wow, I needed that.

Whatever your experience was, give yourself a little time to let it settle.

A LITTLE POST-SOUND-BATH CHECKLIST

You don't need to do anything complicated.

  • Drink some extra water

  • Eat something that feels nourishing

  • Go easy on yourself for the rest of the day

  • Stretch, walk or move your body if that feels good

  • Pay attention to anything that came up during the session

  • Write something down if you don't want to forget it

  • Rest if you're tired

  • Notice how you sleep tonight

  • Try not to immediately fill every quiet moment with your phone, TV, work, errands and 37 other things

Basically: let yourself enjoy the fact that your brain and body just got a little break.

AND IF SOMETHING CAME UP...

You don't have to immediately figure out what it means.

But you can get curious.

Ask yourself:

What did I notice during the session?

Did anything feel different?

Did something suddenly make sense?

Did you realize how tired you actually are?

Did you notice an emotion you've been avoiding?

Or maybe you just realized you haven't slowed down like that in a really long time.

That's useful information too.

Perhaps write it down in a journal or something. If you journal or have been wanting to get started on that, this would be a great way to start and also a great addition to your journal if you already do it!

COME HANG OUT WITH ME

If you enjoyed today and want to stay connected, I'm on Instagram probably talking about some combination of breathwork, sound baths, being a human, figuring yourself out and all the random things we learn along the way.

@theebrendaramos

And for upcoming ECHOES events, sound baths and everything I'm creating:

@echoesbybrenda

Come say hi. Tell me you were at one of my sound baths. I genuinely love hearing what people experience afterward.

IF YOU LEFT THINKING, "I NEED MORE OF THIS."

Same.

That's actually why I created a few different ways to keep going.

WANT TO GO A LITTLE DEEPER?

You can book a private session with me.

These sessions give us more time to focus on you — what you're experiencing, what feels stuck, what you're moving through or sometimes just what you need a little help slowing down enough to hear.

Depending on the session, we can use breathwork, sound and somatic practices to create something more personal than a group sound bath.

OR MAYBE YOU JUST WANT THIS AT HOME.

That's what The Breath Bar is for.

It's my virtual breathwork space filled with sessions you can come back to when you need a reset, want to move some energy, need a moment to yourself or you're having one of those days where your brain has approximately 84 tabs open.

Put your headphones on.

Pick a session.

Breathe with me.

That's it.

MEET ME AT THE BREATH BAR HERE

And seriously — thank you for spending part of your day with me.

There are a million things you could have been doing.

You chose to slow down for a little while or someone made you come with them so you could see what the hype was about.

Either way, I appreciate you.

I'll see you at the next one.

Much love,

Brenda!
